This initiative was launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic as a practical exploration into how a communication strategy could facilitate community outreach and education.

03.SurfAid Indonesia Social Media Communication Strategy for the COVID-19 Pandemic
Produced through a collaboration between Universitas Indonesia and SurfAid Indonesia
Strategic social marketing, strategic digital communication strategy
Jakarta, 2021

Developed in collaboration with Aisyah Kirana, Annisa Putri, Carissa Muhamartha, Shafna Agnieska, and Prabhaswara Pranakarno, and produced in partnership with Universitas Indonesia and SurfAid Indonesia, the project proposed a new approach to delivering educational materials to SurfAid's beneficiaries in Nias during a period of restricted mobility and limited face-to-face engagement.
Alongside developing a comprehensive communication strategy, the project also involved conceptualising and designing SurfAid Indonesia's first official social media presence, exploring how digital platforms could strengthen organisational visibility, public engagement, and community outreach. I contributed to the research, planning, and development of communication interventions tailored to the needs of SurfAid's beneficiaries and stakeholders.
The final communication strategy was later adapted by SurfAid Indonesia in the launch of its first official Facebook account, marking an important step in expanding the organisation's digital outreach and community engagement efforts.
