Invisible
Structures

Invisible Structures is a manifesto that critically explores cultural institutions and their image of neutrality, arguing that they simultaneously function as sites of control, order, and socialisation. The project examines the subliminal language of gallery and museum spaces, offering an accessible framework for analysing the hidden systems, values, and power structures embedded within them.
Presented as a printed manifesto, archive, and reference publication, the project synthesises existing literature and artistic practices within the context of institutional critique, which serves as the theoretical framework, followed by works by artists that embody the thesis of the manifesto.

Developed as part of AcrossRCA 2025
London, 2025

Developed in collaboration with Adriana Cornejo Capdevila, Jingyi Du, Yacob Sitorus, and Saud Baloch Ahmed as part of AcrossRCA 2025's Social Justice theme, the project invites its readers to critically examine the historical and contemporary forces that shape gallery spaces, while offering tools to rethink their own assumptions about neutrality, authority, and cultural value.
My role as the coordinator, editor, and producer of this project tasked me with contributing from its initial research phase through to publication and presentation. I facilitate and manage team discussions, create project goals and timelines, curate and edit content, and oversee publication production. Along with fulfilling those roles, I also authored several contributions to the publication, including Introduction: Manufacturing Neutrality, Editor's Note: Deconstructing Neutrality, and my individual poetic essay, The "Not" Passive House, helping translate complex theoretical concepts into an accessible and engaging format.
