The Finding Knowhere & Fabricating Knowhere Project is an ongoing body of work exploring my search for belonging as a Javanese person raised in a multicultural city. The project begins with a simple question: What happens when a place carries meaning but cannot be easily located? Through writing, textile-making, and book arts, I use Knowhere as a metaphor for the shifting and often intangible nature of identity, memory, and home.
                                   Drawing from Batik traditions and the sewing practices of Javanese women, I developed a tactile fabric book and a handmade annotation book that follow a narrator's journey through family histories, cultural inheritance, adulthood, and loss. Together, these works serve as both a personal reflection and an attempt to reconnect with cultural identity on my own terms.
